Welcome to the web presentation of the Laboratory fot Optoelectronics – OptoLAB!

Laboratory of optoelectronics is one of several laboratories founded within Chair of Electronics, Department of Power, Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad.

Over the years through several international and domestic research projects we have managed to increase our laboratory capacity. For several years our laboratory was located in vocational secondary school of electrical engineering “Mihajlo Pupin” in Novi Sad. Since 2021. our lab is moved to new facilities of Science and Technology Park in Novi Sad where we are currently located and ready for performing various types of photonics related measurements.

Our main goals are research and education in the field of optics, photonics and optoelectronics. Both education and research performed in Laboratory of optoelectronics is mainly oriented towards solving practical problems. Through several teaching courses we educate students at our University about aforementioned fields using state of the art technology. Although we are university laboratory in the past several years a large number high school students passed through our laboratory as a part of their practical education.

Our research interests are mainly oriented toward design and application of the sensors and measurement techniques based on photonics technology. Over the years we have managed to develop and propose a series of sensors and measurement techniques such as color sensor, angular position sensors, chemical sensor, UV sensor, wavelength, displacement and deformation measurement techniques an so on.

In 2015 we launched website presenting our laboratory in hope of sharing experience and knowledge worldwide.

Our laboratory is still small and young, but growing bigger every day!

Sincerely,

OptoLAB Team
