Educational goal

Acquisition of practical knowledge in the field of optical electronics, optoelectronic components, lasers, optical fibers, optoelectronic sensors, displays and practical work on the design of complex optoelectronic systems.

Course content

Application of optoelectronic components and tools in telecommunications and sensing systems. CWDM and DWDM systems. Optoelectronic sensor systems. Basic circuits with optoelectronic components: excitation of LED and laser diodes and design of the optical receivers. Applications of lasers in industry, graphic arts, medicine, the military, research and the like.
