The project SimpleDAQ is inspired by National Instruments data aquisition cards - multifunctional devices intened for data logging, measurement and academic lab experiments (an example: USB-6008). These device offer multiple analog inputs, analog outputs and digital input/outputs connected to screw-terminals for easy sensors and signals connection. The idea of this project was to build a similar device using common low-cost componets (breakout boards). SimpleDAQ USB card is built using SpurkFun Pro Micro (as main controler), ADS1115 analog-to-digital (A/D) converter, MCP4725 digital-to-analog (D/A) converter, AD9833 signal generator and X9C104 digital potentiometer. Using those components SimpleDAQ is design with 4 A\D input, 1 D\A output, 3 digital/PWM outputs, 1 signal generator output and 1 digital potentiometer.

PC application is written as LabView virtual instrument. Software is written using subVIs organized as library so that custom PC application can be designed. Card casing is made using 3D printer.
